Egmont Key offers the opportunity to go snorkeling, in clear water and around the collapsed and sunken ruins of Fort Dade, established in 1899 for the Spanish American War.  While snorkeling, watch for dolphins, manatee, tropical fish, sea turtles, and other sea life, and sea birds and gopher tortoises on the island.  Shelling and sunbathing on the beautiful beaches and exploring the ghost town inland enhance the adventure.

No one covers so much coastline scouting for dolphins to jump and play in our single-hull boat wake. A great photo opportunity! Once at Egmont Key, you are free to explore this tropical island with ruins dating to the 1700's. lighthouse, or shelling where an abundance of sea shells constantly wash onshore. You can also snorkel among the fish or grass flats or dive for dollars and shells.
